On the more practical side, Preston Bailey, party and floral designer to celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey takes the reader through the planning process he follows with his clients. From choosing a theme, to redesigning a space to selecting the flowers, he tells you what to consider. The results, as we see in this book, can be very dramatic. Can we afford to create a winter wonderland at our party along the lines of the design Bailey conceived for Melissa Rivers' wedding? Probably not. But it's beautiful to contemplate, nonetheless.
