This week's tip was submitted by Marlene at www.GardenPartyOnline.com.

The inspiration for GardenPartyOnline products derives from the dining out and vacation experiences of our staff. One such experience involved a stay at an historic bed-and-breakfast in the burgeoning wine country of Santa Barbara, California. At the inn's tea time, wines and mineral waters are chilled in an attractive device that consists of a contiguous pair of aluminum cylinders. One cylinder contains the ice--the other the bottle. Through the magic of conduction physics, cold is passed through the metal ice chamber to the bottle chamber. An innocuous clear plastic tray reigns in any condensation drips.

For those readers who want to assemble a home made version of this wine chiller, we recommend tying together two aluminum, pewter, or stainless flower vases of adequate interior circumference with a decorative ribbon that coordinates with your table setting. A metallic doily might serve as the drip guard.

Thanks for the tip Marlene!
