| Entertaining Tip of the Week | |||||||
This week's tip was submitted by Shayne. I love serving roast chicken to guests because it's so simple, and proper timing allows for a relaxed evening. I plan for the chicken to come out of the oven about 45 minutes after my guests arrive. That gives us a chance to have a glass of wine and chat while the heady aroma of the chicken whets our appetites. For side dishes I usually choose a simple vegetable such as broccoli, and couscous to which I sometimes add slivered almonds and raisins. Each take only 5 minutes to cook, which can be done while the chicken rests before slicing. Voila! You can enjoy your guests and serve a simple, but toothsome meal! Thanks for the tip Shayne!
