Don't be the lone ranger!
- Enlist your guests who offer their help! Guests always like to help and feel needed, so don't feel shy about taking them up on their offer. Something as simple as placing food on the buffet, or getting that last tray of goodies out of the oven can make the difference...and no one likes a grumpy hostess.

Prep pays off
- Can't overstate the value of advance prep work. Do as much as you can in advance....then there's less to do at the last minute. Prep salad, mash taters, fix dessert...it makes a huge difference!

Home delivery
- Rather than do all the food shopping myself and lugging home the groceries, i think i might try a home delivery this year. I think it will be worth the extra money to have everything just show up in my kitchen.
