We’ve all heard the expression, “The best laid plans of mice and men do often go awry.” And as carefully, extensively, meticulously, and painstakingly as you plan, prepare, and organize, there’s always “the X factor” — the unknown, unanticipated, unexpected, otherwise commonly referred to as “Murphy’s Law,” a sadistic law of physics and human affairs that states: “Anything that can go wrong will.” Which is why the wise host always live by the motto, “Expect the unexpected.” Plan for Unexpected Emergencies Whatever your party-giving style, there are sure to be times during your event when you must be a decision-maker, be able to think fast on your feet, and know who to talk to to get things done quickly.
