What was the reason for this party?
It was Thanksgiving 2006.
What went wrong and what did you do when it happened?
We were getting ready to serve a wonderful turkey dinner with all the trimmings.... A friend from out of town brought in some sweet potato casserole...And set it on a hot electric stove burner.... In a few minutes . We hall heard a loud bang like a gun going off and the glass and sweet potatoes went in every cranny of the kitchen ..
My guests were very embarrassed --but I assured them that it would be okay .. but everything was ruined on the stove except the turkey .... Thanks to my wonderful daughters in law... They went to the store and got mashed potaoes and gravy and vegies and we still had a wonderful day ... But what a clean up job...
What I'd Do Differently
- Never Never place anything on an empty burner ... I would not have placed it there... Ma La
