Guide Review - Mionetto "IL" Rosso
Mionetto, Italy's largest producer of Prosecco, continues to introduce sparkling wines to its "IL" lineup with the new "IL" Rosso.
Although you won't mistake "IL" Rosso for a fine red wine, you will find that it goes down easily and refreshingly on a hot summer day. At first glance I expected this wine might be similar to the infamous wine cooler, but I was surprised to find that it only hinted of sweetness with a dry finish. As always, the distinctive "IL" packaging combined with the fizzy bubbles sets the mood for a casual, hip party. When your guests need the refreshment provided by beer, but prefer wine because they don't like that "bloated" feeling, "IL" Rosso is the beverage to offer them.
