Guide Review - Hefty Serve 'n Store Tableware
Sturdier than paper plates; microwaveable unlike disposable pie pans; and you don't have to care that they won't be returned. For all these reasons the Hefty Serve 'n Serve Tableware is a pretty clever development in the world of disposable tableware. After hosting a dinner party recently, I was preparing to send guests home with leftovers. Rather than my usual scrounging for disposable pie pans or Chinese food takeout containers, and instead of considering which of my bowls I could part with (at least temporarily) for the trip, I pulled out a package of these Hefty plates. My guests and I were pleasantly surprised at how tight and secure the lock was between plates. I packaged my own leftovers in these too, which I easily reheated in the microwave the next day. There was no need to dirty any plates for serving as these could travel straight from microwave to table. The extreme practicality of these plates almost compensates for the fact that they are the ugly ducklings of disposable tableware. But as disposable storage containers, they can't be beat.
