Without a doubt, Luscious Living SophistiCake cheesecakes put their best foot forward. In fact, each variety has so much character they could almost step over the threshold into your home. Each one of five varieties reveals a stylish character on the cover of its collectible tin. For example, before you even taste the chocolate cheesecake, you discover that the soul of a Boston blue blood lurks within. His profile will automatically bring a smile to the reader, and tasting the chocolate cake inside will make it last. Of the four varieties I tasted, the chocolate was by far the winner when it comes to taste and texture of both the filling and crust. All were creamy and the other flavors were passable, although it was a challenge to find the lime flavor in the key lime cake. Unfortunately the graham crusts of the other cakes didn't hold their texture as well as the chocolate after being frozen and transported. I also like my graham cracker crusts to be sweeter than these. Finally, I would have preferred the more natural yellow coloring of key limes over the artifical green swirl that decorated the cake. However, these cakes make a fine dessert to keep in reserve in case of last minute guests and they will hold in the freezer for up to six months. Guests who are presented with a plate of small slices from a variety of these cakes will be charmed. Any hostess given one or two of these cakes as a gift will appreciate the unique packaging as well as the convenient dessert within.
