Guide Review - "Hello Cupcake, Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make" by Karen Tack
The projects range from beginner level using basic snip and glue (using frosting, of course!), to more advanced that require some ability to pipe frosting. But both beginner and more advanced bakers will find plenty of projects for their individual skill level.
Although all of the projects can be made using box mixes and canned frosting, there are some great recipes for homemade cupcakes such as banana, carrot, lemon poppyseed, vanilla, or chocolate.
The directions are clear and easy-to-follow once you've reviewed the technique chapter in the beginning of the book. Photographs back up the technique instructions for steps such as spreading frosting, to drawing with frosting, to making leaves and petals.
Here's just a sample of some of the many designs you'll find in this book: puppies, sharks, slumber party, sunflowers, aliens, owls, nutcrackers, snowmen, and much more.
