Guide Review - Bills Open Kitchen
Bill Granger is a renowned chef in Sydney, Australia and this book makes it easy to see why. His recipes have a simple goodness to them, using contemporary ingredients requiring minimal preparation. In fact, the majority of the recipes have very few ingredients or steps involved. The recipes are divided by meal of the day and one of my favorite sections of the book are the tea time recipes. They're enough to make an American want to adopt the British custom of breaking for an afternoon tea. Although there is a section entitled lunch, most of the recipes contained therein would be a wonderful meal for a family dinner. The photographs are stunning, and will make you want to spend some time just perusing them for fun and relaxation. You'll end up wanting to plan a trip to Sydney or, at the very least, eat at bills.
