Why I Love It:
A heavy duty tea kettle is always at the ready in my kitchen, usually filled with water that is ready to boil. If someone drops by, I can quickly serve a cup of tea. If I'm cooking, it's handy to have pre-boiled water ready to thin sauces, soups, or re-hydrate simmers. Plus, having a kettle sitting by my stove makes my kitchen feel extra homey.
Best Kitchen Uses:
Obviously hot beverages are the first that come to mind. However, hot, boiling water is always handy when cooking, and it's better to add hot water to solve cooking emergencies, than cold water that will bring down the temperature of your dish.
