If you're the parent, grandparent, or friend of a girl between the ages of 4 and 12, you've probably heard about the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana phenomenon. Miley Cyrus, daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is the star of her own Disney Channel show, “Hannah Montana”. She's also now starring in a 3-D movie that captures the essence of her concert tour, including a look at the activity behind the scenes. Given the unavoidable popularity of this teenage star, many girls will be choosing a Hannah Montana theme party for their next birthday celebration.

Setting the Stage

Include silvery confetti in your invitation to this pop star theme party.

Supply your guests with blond, Hannah Montana wigs so they can make the transformation just like Miley Cyrus does at the mid-point of her concert.

Give each guest a pretend microphone if you're not making one as a craft (see below).

Set the table with pink or purple party goods if you choose not to purchase the widely available Hannah Montana party supplies Compare Prices. Sprinkle silver confetti (preferably stars) across the table.

Float silver helium balloons in the party room with silvery curling ribbon hanging from them.

Party Activities

Give each pop star a mini makeover as they arrive at the party, including a wig and age appropriate make-up. Take a photo after each makeover to include as a souvenir in the thank you notes.

Let your guests be divas for the day by organizing a karaoke sing-a-long to Hannah Montana songs.

Have the girls watch a recorded episode of the "Hannah Montana" show.

Create silver star necklaces as worn by Hannah Montana in her concert movie. Give each child 3 cardboard, star cutouts with a hole punched in each. Have them cover the stars in foil. Finally, let each child thread black yarn through the stars to finish the necklace.

Alternatively, the children can create a pretend microphone. Give each child a paper towel tube and a small plastic ball that will sit on top of the tube. Have the children lay a large piece of foil (approximately 2 1/2 times the length of the tube) on the table; place the tube at the bottom of the foil and lay the ball on top of the tube; gently fold the foil over the ball and tube to cover, pressing in under the ball at top. Decorate the top of the microphone with glitter glue.

Party Favors

You can easily assemble the perfect party favors for this crowd with an assortment of nail polish, glitter gel, lip gloss and plastic jewlery.

The Menu

Kids will love a selection of concert stadium food including hot dogs, pizza, soft drinks, soft pretzels, popcorn (in the classic carton), and ice pops. Remember the birthday cake or cupcakes!
