You'll need: 3 egg whites, 3/4 cup fine sugar, 1/3 teaspoon cream of tartar, whole almonds.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat egg whites in a clean, dry, mixing bowl with whisk attachment until foamy. Add cream of tartar and mix in well. Gradually add sugar to bowl and beat on high until stiff peaks form. Cut small hole in corner of large, plastic storage bag. Add mixture to bag and pipe onto baking sheet in shape of fingers. Gently press almond onto the narrow end of finger. Bake in oven until dry and crisp, approximately 1 to 2 hours.
