Suggested ReadingAdd Surprises to Your MenuThis week's tip was submitted by Preeti. I find it practical and interesting to include a few edibles in my menu that don't quite belong there. At a recent dinner, I included separate bowls of dried fruits, freshly-chopped fresh fruits, boiled corn with salt and lemon juice dressing, and a bowl of boiled and spiced potatoes (aalu chaat, as we call it) alongside the conventional salads. As a vegetarian, these are healthy and popular choices. Guests can base their selection upon dietary preferences. Also, ice cream and cookies are a good choice to always have at home. Ice-cream scooped over fresh fruits or cookies is a simple, enjoyable dessert. Thanks for the tip, Preeti! Do you have a favorite entertaining tip? Send it to us using our simple submission form. If selected, I will post it with your name in future weeks. Suggested Reading |
