Hold the Raisins, Please

Keep Track of Your Guests' Preferences

By Donna Pilato, About.com

This tip was submitted by Lynn.

I keep an entertaining journal and in that journal I have designated pages for preferences of friends and family members. For example, if I discover in the course of conversation that a person cannot eat a spinach salad or too much broccoli because she takes Coumadin (a medication), then I make a note of that in my journal. I have a neighbor who hates raisins, so I would never select a recipe with raisins in it if she is on the guest list. It helps me to plan my menu for future dinner parties when those guests are on my list.

Thanks for the tip Lynn!
