Avoiding the Big Oops at Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner

Don't Spoil Your Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner with a Big Mess

By , About.com Guide

Disposable roasting pans are great time-savers during the holidays. Instead of cleaning up greasy pan drippings, you can throw the whole mess in the trash.

But you need to be careful when using these pans, especially if you're cooking a large roast or turkey. It's easy to forget that disposable pans are not as sturdy as a regular one, and if you're not careful, the pan can collapse when you take it out of the oven spilling drippings, and even worse, your meal onto the floor.

So the next time you use a disposable pan, avoid the big Ooops by placing a large baking sheet under the pan to give extra support when lifting it out of the oven.
