Dad Loves Running - A Special Father's Day Plan for Him

If you were anything like me, this would be the toughest Dad to please. Those running types are usually sprinting around the neighborhood while I'm hiding under the covers praying the alarm doesn't ring too soon. But...this is Father's Day and if your Dad loves running the best gift would be to drag your sleepy head out of bed and slip on your running shoes when he does.

Setting the Stage

But, let's say you're not in good enough shape to keep up with the "old man." Then the next best thing would be getting the house ready for his return. Welcome him home with a tall, cold glass of water. Offer him a fluffy, terry towel to dry himself off. Set a welcoming breakfast table with his newspaper ready and healthy breakfast choices to support his fit lifestyle.

The Perfect Gift

A new pair of running shoes to replace the pair he currently wears is the perfect gift. Even if his shoes are in good shape today, they won't be for long. If your budget can afford it, toss in a heart rate monitor so that Dad can track his progress.
