A Guest Book to Remember

Let Your Guests Capture the Moment for You

By Donna Pilato, About.com

Guest books have been a part of entertaining for many years. They serve as a record of the guests who have attended special entertaining events. Traditionally, guests were asked to sign their names on a list in a book. A more personalized format asked guests to write a comment to the hostess before signing the book.

Recently, at a wedding, I was asked to contribute to a far more interesting guest book. This guest book had pages filled with small envelopes of varying shapes and sizes. Small note cards were provided for guests to write comments and sign their names. But the final touch was the instant camera that was provided. Guests were asked to take a picture of themselves to include with the note card in an envelope.

Many years from now, as the bride and groom read their wedding guest book they can instantly recall not just the names, but the faces of all their guests.
