Here's an easy and inexpensive centerpiece that you can create if you purchase a real Christmas tree.
Fill a medium size, festive looking bowl with the boughs you have cut from the bottom of your Christmas tree when you trim it to fit the stand. Arrange the cuttings so that they overhang the bowl by a couple of inches. Top the greenery with assorted red fruit such as apples, pomegranates, and cranberries.
