Heaven and Hell Birthday Cake

This was made for my Daughter's 9th birthday Cake and monogrammed with her initials. I made the Stephan Pyles Heaven and Hell Cake recipe (modified for ease). This party was totally homemade, I spent about $150 total. It was an outdoor movie party with a dinner buffet, with white tablecloths with rose and lily floral arrangements. Party favors were her own "Lily's Party Mix CD". We did cd labels with the same monogramming and a printed song list. I used devils food and butter cake out of the box. I have made the whole thing from scratch and this cuts out a LOT of time, without sacrificing much taste. I also decided to change this one and used a butter cake recipe. The angel food was VERY hard to cut and keep uniform since of the many many layers. Lastly I also used the ghiradelli chocolate chips for the ganache. I only did that because they were on sale. I could not believe the difference in the frosting. It was unbelieveable.
