First American Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday, but her first in the U.S. after being adopted from the Ukraine. The little girl on the cake is holding the American flag and the Ukrainian flag. I enlarged the picture I wanted to recreate on the cake, then cut out the pieces like a puzzle. I used the pieces as templates to cut the colored fondant I used and recreated the picture on the cake. The stars were cut out of fondant with a star cookie cutter.
