Guide Review - The Ultimate Potato Book
Once again the team of Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough have wrapped an entire cookbook around a single ingredient. In this case the humble potato is revealed as more stylish than the ubiquitous baked variety would lead us to believe. Whether you're seeking inspiration for a new tapas dish or you can't find your grandmother's pierogi pie recipe, you'll discover the answers in this latest in the Ultimate series. As always, the introductions to each recipe are both useful and interesting. And the layout of the recipes are simple to follow. It would be nice if there was an estimate up front of the time required to prepare each dish. But that's a minor complainy in an otherwise well-conceived and presented book.
