Guide Review - Collectible Meals and Collectible Meals Second Helpings

These two collections of famous menus give us a little peek into a more personal side of celebrity lives - their food preferences. At times the menus are as elaborate as one might expect, at others, much simpler than you'd think. Among the many celebrities in these volumes there are a few infamous menus, too, of famous death row inmates and their final meals. Each menu is preceded by a small history lesson about the celebrity involved, at times giving a taste of the real person behing the public persona. Some of the menus are accompanied by a picture showing the celebrity, thus adding another dimension to these books. It would be fun to host a series of dinner parties based on recreating the menus of your favorite celebrities in these books. However, you'll have to come up with the actual recipes for them yourself.
