Guide Review - Dave's Gourmet
For the uninitiated, Dave's Gourmet began with the ground-breaking Insanity Sauce, the first in the super hot sauce category. You would never serve this sauce to the unwary without warning because of the added capsaicin, the ingredient that puts the heat in chile peppers. But founder Dave Hirschkop was more than a one sauce kind of guy, and has expanded his product line to include: hot sauces of varied heat; mustards; snacks - popcorn, peanuts, green beans, olives; gourmet pasta sauces; drink mixes including Bloody Marys and Margaritas. I've been a fan for years, and had the chance to taste some of the newest products at the Fancy Food Show. I think that more than chileheads will be pleased that Dave has expanded his culinary creativity.
