Can be made from either pasteurized or raw milk cow's milk.

A semi-soft cheese, with a texture that is smooth and creamy.

Rind:

A washed rind, that can range in color from straw to dark orange-red.

Tasting Notes:

Oka is a mild, buttery cheese with hints of nuts and fruit.

Wine Pairing:

Pair this mellow cheese with a red wine such as a Burgundy when part of a meal, or Zinfandel as part of a dessert cheese course.

Serving Suggestion:

This cheese will be the starting cheese for your cheese board progression, served with bread, fruit and nuts. Since it easily melts, it can be used in dishes such as pizza, pasta, or over vegetables. Finally, it can be a great addition to a cheese fondue.
