Guess the Waist Size

The object of this popular game is for shower guests to estimate how large the mom-to-be's waist has become. You'll want to be sensitive to the pregnant mom and how she may be a little touchy on this subject. Therefore, no one should mention anything about inches when this is played! The kindest way to play this game is to pass around a ball of yarn and a pair of scissors. Each guest cuts off a length of yarn that she estimates will fit around the mom-to-be. Finally, the mom-to-be measures her waist with the yarn and cuts off the correct length. Each guest compares her yarn to the mom's and the closest length wins. You'll be surprised at the variation in guesstimates.
