Tip of the Week

Look here each Monday for a new tip to make entertaining a snap!

12/06/99 - Good Scents

You can make your home smell cozy and inviting without purchasing pot pourri or any of the home fragrance products currently in vogue. The next time you peel apples, whether it be for a pie, applesauce or simply eating, save the peels in a sealed plastic bag in your freezer. When you're in the mood to make your home smell yummy, put the peels in a pot of simmering water, add a cinnamon stick, a pinch of ginger and whole cloves, and simmer gently. Your home will begin to smell like fresh baked apple pie!

If you have a tip you'd like to share, email your Guide at entertaining.guide@about.com. If selected, I will post it with your name in future weeks.
