Tip of the Week
Look here each Monday for a new tip to make entertaining a snap.
Time for an Intermission
During large holiday meals, I often find there are large expanses of downtime in between courses. The time is often necessary to clear the first course, slice the turkey and digest a little to make room for the next course. Some guests are very happy to watch the football games, others are busy working in the kitchen. But then there are those who enjoy playing games to pass the time.
So for those guests I recommend digging out your old board games and card games as part of your dinner preparations. Have them ready in a corner of your room for intermission amusement. And if you don't already own games, here are my recommendations of some good old favorites that my family has enjoyed over the years: Checkers, Chess, Jenga, Backgammon, Monopoly, Cards.
