Look here each Monday for a new tip to make entertaining a snap.

Bright Ideas

Candles are one of the most important elements in creating the mood for your party and adding to the appeal of your table. Here are some helpful tips to remember when using candles:

  • To keep unused candles straight, store them flat in a cool, dry place.
  • Wrap your candles in plastic wrap or foil and place them in your refrigerator several hours before lighting so that they burn more slowly and evenly.
  • Do not place tall candles or candelabra directly between two guests at the table, obstructing their vision. That would defeat the purpose of creating an intimate atmosphere.
