Leave the Groceries Out!

My cousin reminded me of another useful tip at her family party last weekend.

After you shop for a party, don't waste your time storing the non-perishable party groceries in your pantry. Only put away the perishable items. Then you will save time in two ways. First, you'll save the time you would have spent putting your groceries away, and second, you won't have to go digging in your pantry two days later to find the ingredients you need.

If you'd like to be even more organized about it, plan ahead when you're in the supermarket. Pack your non-perishable party groceries in separate bags from your everyday shopping. Then once you arrive home, you can stash the bags in a separate room or in a corner of your kitchen and only handle the everyday items that do need attention.

If you have a tip you'd like to share, you can now use our simple submission form. If selected, I will post it with your name in future weeks.
