For the Juiciest, Easiest Corn on the Cob
I have found that the easiest, juiciest way to prepare corn on the cob is in the microwave. We've all had corn that has been boiled to death and looks as shriveled as we look after a long bath. The water has sapped all the juices from the corn. And although grilling corn preserves a lot of the juiciness and tastes great, it takes much longer. First you need to soak the ears so that the husks don't burn during the cooking process.
My alternative method is to clean the husk and silk from the corn, wrap each ear in a sheet of wax paper and microwave for 2 - 3 minutes per ear depending on the power of your microwave. If cooking more than one ear, distribute them evenly across the bottom of your oven. Also, there's no pot to clean afterwards, and you don't have to strip the husk from a very hot grilled ear. Finally, with this method, there's no excuse not to use fresh corn on the cob in recipes instead of frozen or canned.
