Tip of the Week

Look here each Monday for a new tip to make entertaining a snap.

This week's tip has been submitted by Andrea Campbell.

The Value of a Party Journal

Keep track of your guests' preferences, habits and favorite dishes. For example, if Michael is a diabetic, be sure to have foods low in carbohydrates and good for slow-distribution sugar release such as a protein snack. Serving sweets? Serve cantaloupe and honeydew melon balls to Michael. Is Helen allergic to peanuts? Take note. Does Jim prefer not to sit by the air conditioning vent--honor his wishes.

Log all these important guest considerations in your party journal and check them before each event.  Your guests will love you for your special attentiveness and this will go a long way toward making them feel comfortable.

Thanks for the tip Andrea!
