It's On the Tip of My Tongue...
Spare yourself and your coworkers the embarrassment of forgetting names at your next company picnic by using nametags. In large companies there are many people you may deal with on a regular basis, but remembering all the names is a talent that belongs to only a select few. And if coworkers in different departments only interact on the phone, they may not know each other's faces at all.
When using nametags, write each employee's name and department name on the tag. It will make conversations easier to initiate and the party a lot more interesting if people feel comfortable breaking out of the familiar circle of coworkers who work in their own department.
