Summer Birthday Parties
You're the lucky one if you have a child with a summer birthday. You may not have felt that way as you entered your final weeks of pregnancy in 90 degree weather, but now comes the rewards. There's nothing simpler than a summer birthday party for young kids.
Most children love water play, so plan an outdoor party with water activities. Have kiddie pools for them to splash in, watering cans for watering your plants and each other, water guns for playing tag, and balls that soak up water for playing a wet variation of egg toss. As an added bonus, everyone can eat a picnic lunch outside with no crumbs or sticky spots for you to clean up indoors.
Just remember, young children should always have enough adults present when around water to prevent drowning. Toddlers can drown in a small bucket, or an inch of water in a pool.
