The Best Thing Since...
There's a reason for the expression, 'the best thing since sliced bread'. It's because sliced bread is one of those conveniences that make life a little bit easier.
But don't buy your sliced bread in a plastic wrapper. With the tasty variety of breads you can get at the bakery, supermarket in-store bakeries included, there's no reason to buy preservative-laden sliced bread in the bag. The next time you entertain, buy wholesome, flavorful, fresh bread at your local bakery. Before they wrap it up, ask them to slice it for you. That will save you the slicing and clean-up time it would take to do it at home.
