Get Them on Your Side
One of the best ways to avoid trouble when you plan to host a large party is to invite your neighbors to attend. Even if they don't accept your invitation they're much more likely to be understanding about the loud noises, parking problems, and potential trash left around by your guests.
At the very least you should warn them about an upcoming large party. Show them that you understand it may pose a temporary inconvenience to them and thank them in advance for their patience. They may take the opportunity to get away for the weekend if they feel it will be too disturbing - not that you should suggest that to them! But at least they've been forewarned.
