Kids and Business Rarely Mix
It's a given that we all love our own children dearly. But if you're entertaining an important business client in your home, perhaps you should think about what to do with the dear ones while your guests are over.
First, you can't assume that everyone who comes to your home loves children. And if your intention is to make a good impression on your guest, children just might foil your plans. They have a funny way of stealing the limelight, spilling the sauce and slipping with secrets.
So instead of leaving circumstance to chance, the next time you invite the boss over to dinner make sure the kids have already been fed. Let the kiddies say a polite hello then turn them over to their favorite babysitter who is waiting in the wings to amuse them until bedtime.
