Tip of the Week

Look here each Monday for a new tip to make entertaining a snap!

01/03/00 - No More Garlicky Fingers

Anyone who has ever chopped fresh garlic knows that your fingers can smell garlicky long after the cutting board has been washed and put aside. Here's an easy tip I've learned to remove that smell right away.

After you have finished handling the garlic, wash your hands under running water while rubbing your fingers on a stainless steel spoon. In a matter of seconds your fingers will smell fresh and clean with no remaining odor.

If you have a tip you'd like to share, email your Guide at entertaining.guide@about.com. If selected, I will post it with your name in future weeks.
