So What If You Don't Have Enough Food?

Wednesday June 24, 2009
In my last post I talked about how to take a "scientific" approach to estimating how much food is needed for a party. But surprises happen. Readers have told me how, when they don't receive firm RSVPs from guests, they plan food for the number of guests they know will show. But what happens when the rest of your invite list shows up too? Or, what if guests bring along other uninvited guests. Even though we know they shouldn't have done that without checking with the host first, no one wants to send guests home hungry. So that's why you should plan what you'll do if you need more food during your party.
