Sometimes a book crosses my desk that I just can't ignore. "Eric Kayser's New French Recipes" is one of those books - it puzzled me at first, and I felt somewhat estranged from it. But the more I looked at it, the more interesting it became. I just had to try the recipes for myself, as odd as they seemed, and as a result, I believe it offers the creative host a lot of ideas for exploring a new type of French food.
