Showing Off

It was a big weekend of family birthday parties. We celebrated my sister's younger daughter's third birthday, and my brother's youngest daughter's first birthday party. Did I ever tell you that there are seven girl cousins in our family? Parties tend to be very pink and girlie when we have family get-togethers and this party was no exception. For the one-year-old the theme was a giant pink cupcake shaped cake, with a few other cupcake theme decorations. The party activities revolved more around my three year-old niece's chosen theme of a mermaid party since she is old enough to care. There was a lot of giggles and squeals. I don't really know what would happen if a boy cousin ever came into the family - although I fear he would have no choice but to get with the pink program.
