It's been a bit of a nail biter. I'm sure many of us wondered whether the writer's strike would end in time for the Oscars. I've only managed to see two of the nominated best pictures, but that doesn't make me any less eager to watch the show. It doesn't really matter who wins the golden statues, I still say Hurray for Hollywood and for its ability to take us away from reality, at least for a few hours.Photo © Scott Olson/Getty Images
