Don't shy away from entertaining friends who have disabilities. If they are in a wheelchair or need to use crutches or a cane, there are steps you can take to make the party enjoyable and relaxing for both of you. We have great suggestions that were submitted by a reader who found herself in the position of requiring assistance once she was temporarily disabled by an accident.

In addition to entertaining friends who have mobility issues, you may have friends that have dietary issues that need to be addressed. They may be diabetic or need to be on a low sugar or fat diet for other health reasons. Prior to inviting them to your party, ask them what you can serve that they will be able to enjoy. If you're looking for good diabetic and low fat cookies, consider serving Joseph's Lite Cookies. I've tasted them and not only are they healthy, the taste and texture are good enough for your regular diet guests.
