Plan Your Oscars Party Menu

Over this past weekend we hosted a family birthday party in our home. As I was planning the menu, I happened across Wolfgang Puck's Oscar Party menu on Epicurious. It looked so good I decided to use it for our birthday party even though it wasn't nearly as glamorous an event as an Academy Awards party. I cooked both the Wine Braised Brisket of Beef with Caramelized Onions and Dried Apricots and the Spatzle he had on his menu. They both turned out delicious, and although they both took some time to prepare, you could prepare many of the steps in advance of your party, leaving only a few last minute tasks for when your guests arrive.
