Party Games and Activities

Tuesday October 12, 2004
Today I spent some time finalizing the details of the games and crafts for my daughter's birthday party this Saturday. When the children arrive, I'll have a craft project with all of the supplies ready and waiting for the kids to get to work. It's always good to schedule a craft first, because it helps to fill time as the late arrivals straggle into the party. Since the theme of this party is dancing and musical games, the children will make suncatchers using blank CD's, lanyard cord, stickers and metallic confetti. I have also printed coloring pages to keep busy those children who manage to finish the craft quickly.

Following the craft, we have planned four different musical games, with a fifth game at the ready in case we finish too quickly. One of the places I found game ideas was in the very handy book Perfect Party Games.
